Senior Data Scientist at KAYAK

KAYAK, a part of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Marketing Measurement team. In this role, the Senior Data Scientist will work closely with marketing leaders to enhance the measurement of marketing efforts and inform strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end experimentation, including hypothesis formulation, experiment design, data collection, power analysis, implementation, and results analysis.
• Support initiatives to build a robust framework for creating and evaluating creative, bidding, and landing page experiments efficiently.
• Develop new models and advanced analytics techniques to measure and optimize marketing spend.
• Support the development of less senior scientists and collaborate with team members.
• Build standardized and scalable solutions and set up best practices.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with data manipulation and extraction using relational databases (SQL).
• Ability to write high-quality, scalable, maintainable code (Python, R).
• Strong story-telling and presentation skills.
• Strong foundation in experimentation methods and causal inference techniques.
• Experience in marketing science measurement methodologies like Causal impact, geo-lift on Google, and Marketing mix models.
• Proactive work style and good judgment.
• Keen sense of success criteria and adherence to testing and validation principles.
• Passionate about large data sets in marketing, finance, and economics.
• Skilled in paid marketing data, time-series analysis, econometrics, and regression models.
