One Acre Fund is seeking an Innovations Coordinator in Nigeria to oversee field research trials and manage a team of Trial Officers/Assistants. The Innovations Coordinator will work with the Nigeria Innovations team and coordinate all field implementation of product trials across Niger, Kwara and Nasarawa State. This role requires someone who ensures an up-to-date collation of good quality field data which would be used for creating reports that informs strategic decisions on product offerings that will be recommended to farmers. At least 50% of time will be spent observing and supervising field activities/farmers.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in field trial planning, design and coordination.
  • Manage field trials, tracking trial KPIs for monitoring and reporting.
  • Assess risks and constraints to trial execution and success.
  • Support periodic performance review of Innovations Officers/Assistant.
  • Hold regular check-in with direct reports (Innovations Officers/Assistants).
  • Be available and prepared to work during the December/January holidays, and other National and Religious holidays, as the work necessitates.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any field of Agriculture, Development/ Gender Studies, Rural Livelihood or any relevant field
  • Professional experience with data management, proficiency in G Suites or excel, STATA, R or any other relevant statistical software is required
  • Working knowledge of ODK, CommCare, or similar survey software.
  • 2 years practical experience working on Agricultural research, Youth and Gender Program is required
  • Fluency in English language and any other local language
  • Willingness to live and work in rural areas close to our farmers
