Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Gen AI at Mozilla

Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their Firefox team and help develop new Generative AI driven products and tools. The engineer will play a key role in enabling safe and healthy machine learning and Generative AI driven experiences in Firefox. This role involves leading the design, development, and integration of Generative AI solutions, collaborating cross-functionally, and building infrastructure for training and inference of LLMs and small language and vision models.

What this role involves:

• Leading the design, development, and integration of Generative AI solutions in Firefox.
• Collaborating cross functionally with product management, full stack engineering and design.
• Building infrastructure for training and inference of LLMs.
• Implementing robust validation and testing procedures.
• Monitoring and optimizing deployed models for performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

• 6+ years experience as a Machine Learning engineer.
• Experience with designing and building machine learning tooling and infrastructure.
• Experience with distributed systems and platforms for AI integrations.
• Leading architecture designs to execution independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective documentation and communication skills.
