Job Description

Point72 is seeking an AI Engineer to join its Long/Short Equities investment team in San Francisco. The AI Engineer will collaborate with the investment team to explore opportunities to utilize GenAI and machine learning applications. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, creative, and proactive.

Role involves:

  • Working alongside a portfolio manager and team of analysts.
  • Integrating and processing Compliance-approved internal and external data.
  • Creating tools and infrastructure to support and enhance the team’s quantitative efforts.
  • Developing quantitative insights to potentially aid the investment team.
  • Staying up to date on AI/ML market landscape.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience with Generative AI technology and LLMs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Airflow, Databricks, Spark.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate across departments.
