Job Description

Point72 is seeking an Algo Quant to join their centralized algo trading team in New York. The candidate will focus on providing optimal execution for both discretionary and systematic traders. This role involves researching market microstructure, particularly in futures and FX markets, and assisting in the design and implementation of trading strategies tailored for internal portfolio managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and enhance the in-house algo trading system through mathematical modeling and parameter optimization.
  • Conduct quantitative research on market microstructure in futures and FX markets, leveraging insights to improve trading performance.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and technology teams to design and implement effective trading strategy solutions.
  • Monitor algo execution, simulating and analyzing algo behavior to optimize performance.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in trade execution research or development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
