The Student Hotel Amsterdam West is seeking a Housekeeping Intern to assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the cleanliness and quality of rooms, shared kitchens, and public areas. This internship offers a glimpse into the hospitality industry with an innovative company.
The Student Hotel is known for its fun, creative, and inspiring environment, offering a hybrid hospitality concept with student accommodation, hotel stays, gyms, events, and coworking spaces. The intern will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness for guest satisfaction.
What this role involves:
- Managing the housekeeping team and ensuring tasks are performed correctly.
- Setting up operational plans and coordinating tasks and people.
- Providing leadership and coaching to the team.
- Being the main contact for internal/external guests and suppliers.
- Controlling stock and ordering guest and cleaning supplies.
- Conducting quality control for guest rooms and shared kitchens.
- Creating and implementing improvements in housekeeping processes.
- Planning and scheduling the internal team for public areas and shared kitchens.
Requirements:
- Must be a student enrolled in an EU school, studying Facility Management or Hotel Management.
- Enthusiasm for hospitality; previous experience is a plus.
- Intrigue by teamwork and motivated to lead a team.
- Eye for detail.
- Organized and able to handle stressful situations.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.
