The Student Hotel (TSH) is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for their Delft location. This individual will be a key player in the kitchen, supporting the Chef and managing the kitchen staff. The role involves creating an effective cooking process and ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to guests.

Role Involves:

  • Ensuring resources are available for kitchen staff.
  • Preparing and cooking dishes.
  • Monitoring portion and waste control.
  • Arranging training and development opportunities for staff.
  • Scheduling staff and managing leave requests.
  • Managing kitchen staff performance.
  • Translating menu changes into accurate recipes.
  • Purchasing supplies and ingredients.
  • Monitoring HACCP guidelines and fire safety policy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a managerial role at a similar level kitchen.
  • HACCP certification.
  • Strong knowledge of food products and market standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Legal authorization to work in the Netherlands.
