Chatham Financial is seeking a Lead Data Quality Analyst to manage the Data Quality team and improve data quality assessment within the Enterprise Data Platform. This role involves working closely with senior leadership to design new components, establish best practices, and implement features using Python, SQL, and dbt. The Lead Data Quality Analyst will actively monitor data quality, support root cause analysis, and certify product features. They will also review work, provide guidance, and collaborate with the Lead Software Engineer to maintain infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing new Enterprise Data Platform components.
  • Establishing Data Quality Analysis best practices.
  • Implementing new features using Python, SQL, and dbt.
  • Contributing to developing or maintaining capability to generate sample input datasets.
  • Actively communicating about Data Quality to business stakeholders.
  • Actively monitoring Data Quality across client production environments.
  • Certifying Product features from a Data Quality standpoint.
  • Reviewing existing components/features of the Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Review work done by Data Quality Analysts.
  • Collaborating with the Lead Software Engineer for Data Quality Automation.
  • Cultivating the sense of ownership culture across all Data Quality team members.
  • Mentor more-junior Data Quality Analysts.
  • Design & establish individual training plans.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Computer Science / Management Information Systems or similar
  • Proficient Data Analysis skills using a mix of tools/frameworks such as SQL, Python stack (pandas, polars, scikit-learn, seaborn, great expectations, soda), Power BI/Tableau
  • Great database querying skills, preferably using SQL
  • Proven understanding related to interacting with REST APIs
  • Proven Software Engineering skills with at least a scripting/general purpose programming language, preferably Python
  • Good experience with version control systems such as Git
