Sony Music is seeking a Manager, Label Management & Retail Marketing for The Orchard in Hong Kong. This role involves managing relationships with independent labels, collaborating on release strategies, and working with internal departments to meet label needs. The manager will also oversee digital release setups and maintain relationships with digital retailers in Greater China.

The role involves:

  • Managing day-to-day relationships with distributed independent labels.
  • Collaborating with labels and internal departments on release plans.
  • Creating strategies to develop the catalog of assigned labels.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure labels’ business needs are met.
  • Verifying audio, video, metadata, and artwork.
  • Managing digital release set-ups.
  • Maintaining relationships with digital retailers in Greater China.
  • Driving strategy pitches and ensuring maximum promotion for The Orchard’s repertoire.
  • Utilizing internal data and analytics tools.
  • Ensuring the global sales and marketing organization has all assets.
  • Driving product adoption of The Orchard's tools and services.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in digital distribution.
  • Great understanding of metadata requirements and digital operations.
  • Knowledge of leading digital retail platforms.
  • Advanced organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Awareness of industry changes and developments.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supreme attention to detail and follow-through skill.
  • Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic attitude.
