Senior Developer - Java (Poland, Contract) at Nearform

Nearform, a digital and AI engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Developer with strong Java skills for a contract position based in Poland. The role involves designing and building applications for enterprise clients, contributing to the modernization of their systems using cloud-native solutions.

As a Senior Developer at Nearform, the candidate will contribute to project execution and timely delivery and collaborate with Nearform's client teams.

Role Involves:

• Supporting component design, development, and maintenance.
• Assisting with defining structured practices for source code management, building, and deployment.
• Designing and implementing data storage solutions.
• Optimizing application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Gathering feedback from users and clients and building solutions accordingly.
• Assisting with the analysis of client requirements.
• Collaborating with client teams.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Significant experience delivering at a Senior Developer level, Java 17 experience essential.
• Practical experience delivering in an agile environment.
• Deep knowledge of Java 17.
• Deep understanding of Java frameworks (Spring Boot 3 & Maven).
• Deep understanding of versioning control tools (Git).
• Testing experience and familiarity with testing tools at all levels.
• Practical experience working with databases.
• Experience with automation, CI, and CD.
• Experience building software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews.
