Verkada is seeking a Product Design Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Taipei, Taiwan. This role involves contributing to the design and development of new cameras, access control systems, sensors, and other enterprise IoT products.

Responsibilities:
  • Driving new products from initial proof of concept through to mass production.
  • Generating mechanical solutions for enterprise hardware.
  • Collaborating with Electrical and Industrial Design teams.
  • Working with mechanical vendors on DFM/DFA.
  • Owning tooling release, bring up, and validation.
  • Developing and executing mechanical reliability test plans.
  • Assisting with failure analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Working closely with JDM and CM partners.
  • Driving on-site factory troubleshooting and assembly line bring-up.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal English & Mandarin communication skills.
  • A clear track record of designing and manufacturing enterprise or consumer electronic products.
  • Mastery of 3D CAD software.
  • Experience getting hands-on with building & testing hardware.
  • Ability to frequently visit vendors throughout Taiwan.
  • Experience working with part vendors on DFM, tooling bring up and validation.
  • Passion for designing aesthetically pleasing but easy to use hardware.
