Job Description
Blackbird Health is seeking an Early Childhood Clinician to provide mental health services to preschool-aged children (2-5 years) in a hybrid setting. The clinician will work under the direction of the Director of Early Childhood Services and will be responsible for screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy.Blackbird Health is transforming how pediatric mental health is assessed and treated, making world-class care available in local communities. They offer virtual and in-person mental health services across Pennsylvania and Virginia, with plans to expand to new markets in 2025.Role Involves:
  • Providing screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy to preschool-aged children (2-5 years).
  • Participating in weekly department and team meetings.
  • Completing documentation for services within 24 hours of services.
  • Managing your schedule, including scheduling assessments and sessions and rescheduling any cancellations or make-up appointments.
  • Reporting weekly productivity.
  • Collaboration with community-based preschool education providers.
  • Utilizing appropriate evidence-based practices (PCIT and CPP).
Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during after-school hours or weekends.
  • Active licensure in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • At least one year of experience providing mental health services to children under the age of 6.
  • Passion for our mission to redefine behavioral health for children and their families
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to children
  • Ample knowledge of typical and atypical early childhood development.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, provider partners, and colleagues
  • Utilize and implement evidence-based practices related to early childhood mental health.
  • Open to professional and clinical feedback and interested in working in a supporting and collegial clinical environment.
  • Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
  • Display empathy, or the ability to look at the client/family’s situation from their perspective to understand their experience.
