Job Description
Point72 Asset Management is looking for a Risk Manager to join their Risk Management & Quantitative Research team. This role is crucial for the firm's investment process, focusing on risk management, performance attribution, and investment process improvement. The Risk Manager will help the firm in delivering superior risk-adjusted performance. The risk team’s main goal is to protect the firm from any improper exposure levels and make sure that all risk-taking is efficient and deliberate.

Role Involves:
  • Ensuring efficient and deliberate risk-taking at portfolio and firm levels.
  • Collaborating with portfolio managers to improve portfolio construction and setting risk guidelines.
  • Actively managing the Firm’s risk exposures.
  • Participating in the capital allocation process.
  • Leading research to develop innovative risk management approaches.
  • Enhancing the understanding of the Firm’s performance through performance attribution frameworks.

Desirable candidates have:
  • Five or more years of experience as a risk manager or portfolio manager.
  • Detailed understanding of equities risk management, portfolio construction, and trading.
  • Knowledge of quantitative finance and statistical programming tools (SQL and Python).
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex ideas.
  • Intellectual curiosity and skills for ad-hoc tasks.
  • High-energy and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and integrity.
