Job Description

Sotheby's is seeking a Client Accounts Receivable Coordinator to provide client service for private sales and departmental administrative tasks. The Coordinator will oversee client accounts from sale through payment, ensuring compliance with financial rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing billing and issuing of client related financial outputs.
  • Managing "no bid" clients and escalate requests appropriately.
  • Reconciling information to invoice the sale.
  • Managing or escalating extended payment term requests.
  • Collecting and managing outstanding client debt.
  • Working with expert departments and relationship managers.
  • Managing chargebacks and reconciliations.
  • Supporting compliance based activities.
  • Contributing to the delivery of a positive client-first experience.
  • Supporting in the compilation and maintenance of current process documentation.
  • Maintaining SLAs for client communication.
  • Contributing to management reporting in respect of debtors and provisions.
  • Collaborating with technical experts and the wider finance team.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in business administration or equivalent field preferred.
  • 4-5+ years’ related work experience.
  • Previous financial experience preferred.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and methodical with a strong team spirit.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work in the office and potentially evenings and weekends.
