Job Description

Blackbird Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults. The practitioner will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

Role Involves:

  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses.
  • Creating personalized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Providing education and consultation for patients and their families.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals on integrated treatment plans and medication management.
  • Managing diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results.
  • Participating in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
  • Maintaining thorough records of patient meetings and progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with kids and adolescents as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
  • At least one year of independent psychiatric experience under licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Openness to feedback and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during after-school hours.
  • Flexibility to work in person at one of our clinics at least 1 day per week as needed.
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing program, PMHNP-BC certification.
  • Active PMHNP/CRNP/APN license, DEA license, and State Prescriptive Authority.
