Senior Frontend Infrastructure Engineer at Vim

Vim is seeking a Senior Frontend Infrastructure Engineer to join their Developer Platform team. The engineer will be crafting SDK tools that empower external Developers and elevate clients' daily workflows. As a Front-End Engineer they will collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and fellow external Developers and participate in Debug sessions and education regarding the product (Canvas) and product capabilities. This role involves delivering new features and optimized front-end frameworks and driving impactful improvements while contributing both autonomously and within cross-functional teams.

• Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces with modern technologies.
• Lead front-end infrastructure initiatives, applying JavaScript/TypeScript best practices, performance optimization techniques, and security principles.
• Write clean, efficient code with a focus on comprehensive test coverage.
• Own the full lifecycle of your features, from development to deployment.
• Act as a technical point of contact and support the external developers through the implementation process.
• Mentoring peers and driving innovation within your domain.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of front-end development best practices.
• Expertise in Java Script.
• Track record of building scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
