Job Description
Blackbird Health is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role involves engaging and activating patients to support them in receiving the care they need. The Patient Support Specialist will be a trusted partner, guiding patients through their journey to better mental health.
Role Involves:
- Conducting telephonic outreach to patients and families.
- Fielding inbound calls and directing them to appropriate team members.
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
- Supporting patients with necessary paperwork.
- Connecting with individuals to determine eligibility for services.
- Performing clerical and administrative functions.
- Compiling medical records and reports.
- Attending team meetings and participating in training.
Requirements:
- Some College Courses or an Associates degree
- Experience in a medical office
- Telephonic outreach experience
- Customer service experience
- Passion for helping others
- Available to work up to 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) from our Allentown, PA clinic.
- Works efficiently and maintains consistent work volume.
- Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Genuine, empathic listening skills.
- Eagerness for ongoing learning and growth.
