Software Engineer, DevOps at Legion

Legion Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer, DevOps to join their team in Bucharest, Romania, on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will support Legion’s public cloud platform and participate in the technical implementation activities associated with Legion’s Workforce Management solution.

The role involves contributing to a high-performance data-driven Java enterprise application. The engineer will play a crucial role in developing infrastructure automation and managing production alerts.

Responsibilities:

• Support Legion’s public cloud platform, utilizing multiple cloud services and containerization.
• Develop infrastructure automation leveraging Terraform, Ansible, Argo, Jenkins, and Golang.
• Create and manage production alerts.
• Respond to alerts and conduct a root-cause investigation.
• Develop automation for operational runbooks.
• Support the deployment of Legion’s WFM solution during and off regular office hours.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in SRE, DevOps, or other SaaS operations.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with managing AWS services and cloud infrastructure in AWS utilizing Terraform.
• AWS Certification preferred.
• 4+ years experience with containerized cloud solutions utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS EKS.
• Familiarity with Helm charts.
• 4+ years experience with at least one programming language like Go, Python, Bash, Perl.
• 4+ years experience with one or more Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, etc.), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc).
• 4+ years of experience with observability tools: Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Elasticsearch, Kibana, CloudWatch, and Logstash.
• Hands-on experience with one or more Linux/Unix platforms like RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu/Amazon Linux.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
