Controls Engineer, Cell Line

Gotion Inc., an innovator in electric vehicle and energy storage technologies, is seeking a Controls Engineer for their facility in Manteno, IL. The Controls Engineer will support and optimize the Pack/Module pilot production line, ensuring process stability, quality, and efficiency. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment.Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing day-to-day manufacturing engineering activities.
• Collaborating with Quality and cross-functional teams to establish control plans.
• Leading equipment and line qualification efforts.
• Utilizing problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
• Developing and maintaining critical process documentation.
• Supporting the integration of automation and controls systems.
• Partnering with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime.

Requirements include:

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, with a strong focus on control systems and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cell assembly processes is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with robotics, machine vision, and industrial communication protocols.
