Data Annotation Project Manager

Job Description

Iterative Health, a healthcare technology and services company, is seeking a Data Annotation Project Manager to advance gastrointestinal care through innovation. The role involves leading medical image annotation initiatives and working with machine learning engineers, clinical experts, and product managers. The Project Manager will oversee a team of 20+ annotators, ensuring high-quality image and video annotations for classification and detection tasks.Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Machine Learning, Product, and Scientific teams.
• Developing project specifications and determining datasets for model training.
• Ensuring annotation efforts align with product requirements and compliance obligations.
• Monitoring and mitigating risks across data annotation workflows.
• Presenting findings and insights to stakeholders.
• Overseeing operational logistics and resource forecasting.
• Ensuring adherence to data governance and compliance standards.

Requirements include:

• Over 2 years of experience in data annotation or related fields, with 1 year in leading annotation teams.
• Detail-oriented with experience reviewing documentation and quantitative/qualitative work.
• Knowledge of machine learning team operations and annotated data in model training.
• Experience with data annotation platforms like Encord, LabelBox, Scale AI, Supervisely.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, and project management skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a startup environment.
