Job Description
Gotion Inc. is seeking a Robotics Engineer to join their state-of-the-art 40GW battery cell manufacturing facility in Illinois. The Robotics Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining robotic systems to automate production processes. This role aims to enhance efficiency, precision and safety in battery cell assembly.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in robotic programming, integration and troubleshooting, supporting Gotion’s mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Role involves:
- Designing and programming robotic systems for material handling, assembly, and quality inspection.
- Integrating robots with manufacturing equipment for seamless operation.
- Optimizing robotic workflows to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop automation solutions.
- Performing maintenance, diagnostics, and upgrades on robotic systems.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in robotics engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or ROS.
- Experience with robotic arms (e.g., FANUC, ABB, or KUKA) and vision systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes is a plus.

- US base salary range for this full-time position is $80k - $120k + 15% bonus + benefits.
