Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Senior IT Systems & Operations Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. This role involves building scalable, secure, and reliable corporate tooling & infrastructure, enabling Whatnauts to productively collaborate and work. The IT Systems & Operations team is responsible for implementing and maintaining tools for IT operational efficiencies and automation, with a focus on innovative and modern technology.
Role Involves:
- Engaging stakeholders to understand needs and priorities for secure implementation and maintenance of corporate applications.
- Implementing and maintaining tools for IT operational efficiencies and automation.
- Bolstering inventory management capabilities in EMEA.
- Ensuring technological compliance with evolving security standards and policies.
- Streamlining and optimizing access management workflows.
- Developing requirements, building, and testing workflows and automations in iPaaS tooling.
- Creating, maintaining, and promoting standards, procedures, and documentation for IT.
- Championing IT company wide through quality internal customer service.
- Providing onsite AV, networking, and conferencing support.
- Partnering with leadership to build and report on team OKRs and roadmaps.
- Building and maintaining vendor relationships and third party services.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as an IT professional in a high growth and/or tech company.
- 4+ years of experience configuring complex IT systems.
- Proven track record of deploying and maintaining cloud-based corporate applications and automations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience leading large-scale IT projects with strategic planning and detailed documentation.
- Solid understanding of onboarding & offboarding business processes.
- Proven success in scaling IT processes with automation and emerging technology.
- Experience in managing collaboration tools for remote & distributed teams.
- Robust understanding of core IT systems & operations processes.
- Strong knowledge of MDM best practices and hands-on experience with Apple Macbooks, Kandji, Snipe, Microsoft Windows, Intune, Azure Active Directory, and/or equivalents.
- Solid understanding of security and privacy principles with experience in Verkada, Nightfall, and Proofpoint preferred.
- Familiarity with computer networking, especially cloud-based SD-WAN and SDN (Cisco Meraki).
- Detail-oriented problem solver with strong organizational and documentation skills.
