Signifyd is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join their data platform team. This role involves developing and maintaining the data infrastructure, strengthening core data products, and ensuring efficient large-scale data processing and storage. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions and contribute to the overall data strategy.

What this role involves:

  • Proposing, developing, and deploying scalable data solutions on Cloud Solutions, implementing CI/CD processes.
  • Collaborating on significant portions of data products, aligning with stakeholders on the data model.
  • Leveraging infrastructure-as-code tooling to streamline data operations.
  • Helping the team manage data warehousing solutions and costs, ensuring adherence to data governance policies.
  • Building systems and processes for observability, monitoring, and alerting to maintain platform health.
  • Working alongside Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and other Software Engineers.
  • Mentoring team members and peers in designing and implementing robust data platforms.
  • Implementing data solutions using technologies like Spark, Python, Databricks, and Cloud services.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3+ years in a senior role.
  • Extensive expertise in designing and leading complex data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance projects.
  • Hands-on expertise in data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Kafka, and Cloud Services (AWS and/or GCP).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and SQL.
  • Deep understanding of data processing and experience with multi-terabyte datasets.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Machine Learning teams.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of databases and analytics technologies.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work with excellent data accuracy, performance, and reliability.
