Staff Software Engineer - Data Intelligence

Job Description

Addepar is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Data Intelligence to join their Precompute Platform team. This team is crucial for Addepar's transition to next-generation data and analytics tools, operating on Terabyte-scale datasets to enable high-performance data generation and analytics.Responsibilities:

• Facilitate discussions on technical and organizational issues.
• Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions.
• Partner with product managers to plan complex projects.
• Gain knowledge of Addepar Data Lakehouse.
• Drive improvements to the end-user experience.
• Reduce complexity through strategic data architecture.
• Empower others and build a culture of support.

Requirements:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python.
• Experience with vector-oriented development (NumPy, PyArrow, Dask, Spark preferred).
• Strong AWS knowledge and architectural experience.
• Positive outlook with problem-solving skills.
