GoCardless is seeking a Frontend Software Development Engineer (Contract) to join their team in Melbourne, Australia. The successful candidate will work on the PayTo product, focusing on Instant Bank Payments and Variable Recurring Payments, leveraging Open Banking connections. This role is within a team of 6 engineers, a PM, an EM, and a Product Designer based in London.

The engineer will collaborate closely with the team to enhance the Front End and User Experience. They will solve customer's needs and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and improving products to directly solve customer needs.
  • Adapting to new technologies and processes quickly.
  • Collaborating with the team to build products.
  • Solving problems to provide with best solutions.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in coding with TypeScript/React on the frontend.
  • Some experience working across the Full-Stack.
  • Effective communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience talking directly with the end customer and gathering feedback.
  • Care about building reliable, well-tested front-end experiences.
  • Initiative to solve problems and find better solutions.
  • Personal accountability and ownership.
