Kroll Bond Rating Agency Europe Limited is seeking a Director to join their Funds Ratings team in Dublin. This role involves assigning and monitoring credit ratings on debt instruments issued by funds, focusing on evaluating financing instruments that support fund operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in fund investment and credit strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the new issuance rating process, evaluating capital structure, legal protection, and cash flow dynamics.
- Interact with issuers, conduct due diligence, and assess investment processes.
- Prepare rating memos and new issuance reports for rating committees.
- Lead ongoing monitoring and keep abreast of developments on outstanding issuances.
- Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases.
- Collaborate with KBRA experts across various sectors to evaluate complex strategies.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members.
- Develop analytical tools to standardize rating approaches.
- Represent KBRA at industry events and engage with market participants.
- Assist with credit research and publications on fund-related trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in fund finance, investing, or structured finance.
- Experience with investment strategies in private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure.
- Understanding of subscription lines, NAV financing, and other fund finance products.
- Experience reviewing legal documents.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
