Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is seeking a Director to join their Funds Ratings team in New York. This role involves leading the new issuance rating process, interacting with issuers, and preparing rating memos. The Director will also lead ongoing monitoring, develop spreadsheets and databases, and collaborate with KBRA experts. They will supervise junior team members, develop analytical tools, represent KBRA at industry events, and assist with credit research.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating capital structure, legal protection, and cash flow dynamics.
  • Conducting due diligence meetings with issuers and managers.
  • Preparing rating memos and new issuance reports.
  • Leading ongoing monitoring and surveillance.
  • Developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and databases.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Representing KBRA at industry conferences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Math.
  • Eight or more years of experience in fund finance, investing, or structured finance.
  • Experience with investment strategies in private equity, private credit, real estate, etc.
  • Understanding of subscription lines, NAV financing, and other fund finance products.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
