Funds Ratings - Associate / Associate Director (London)

Job Description

Kroll Bond Rating Agency UK Limited is seeking an Associate/Associate Director to join their Funds Ratings team in London. The role involves assigning and monitoring credit ratings on debt instruments issued by funds. The ideal candidate will have experience in fund investment and credit strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with credit research on funds and investment vehicles.
• Develop rating and analytical tools, including cash flow and asset coverage models.
• Prepare internal credit memos and publications.
• Participate in meetings with fund management teams.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
• Collaborate with KBRA experts in other sectors.
• Assist in research for internal and publication purposes.
• Independently lead credit ratings process and research efforts (Associate Director).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Math, or related field.
• Four (4) to Eight (8) years of work experience as a credit analyst.
• Experience in fund lending, investing, or structured finance is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel and cash flow modeling.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in SQL and VBA is an advantage.
• Successful progression towards CFA is a plus.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools is a plus.
