Job Description
Schrödinger is seeking an Applications Scientist to contribute to its mission of improving human health through computational methods. The Applications Scientist will train and guide customers in using Schrödinger's molecular modeling suites and address drug discovery challenges. This role involves providing scientific support, engaging in research, and collaborating with various teams.
Role Involves:
- Providing scientific support to life science customers.
- Demonstrating optimal use of software suites.
- Facilitating interactions between customers and product development teams.
- Providing scientific guidance.
- Engaging in scientific research and providing modeling automation best practices.
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Account Managers, and the Marketing team.
- Publishing scientific papers and presenting at conferences.
Requirements:
- PhD in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
- At least one year of post-doctoral/industry experience.
- Understanding of the commercial drug discovery process.
- Experience in molecular dynamics simulations, ligand-based drug design, chemoinformatics, quantum mechanics, and/or structural modeling.
- Python programming experience.
- Medicinal chemistry knowledge is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
