Job Description

Schrödinger is seeking a Biologics Applications Scientist to improve human health and quality of life through advanced computational methods. The Applications Scientist will train and guide customers in using molecular modelling suites, provide strategic scientific support, and address challenging problems in drug discovery. The role can be based in Mannheim, Germany, or remotely in the UK.

The Applications Scientist will:

  • Provide scientific support to customers.
  • Translate scientific vision into modelling and data analysis workflows.
  • Troubleshoot customers’ scientific workflows.
  • Engage in methodological scientific research.
  • Publish scientific papers and present at conferences.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of at least two biologics modalities.
  • Demonstrable Python programming experience.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
