Job Description

Schrödinger is seeking a Biologics Applications Scientist to join their team in Mannheim, Germany, or remotely in the UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the company's mission to improve human health through advanced computational methods. This role involves training and guiding customers in the use of Schrödinger's molecular modelling suites, providing strategic scientific support, and addressing challenging problems in drug discovery.

The Applications Scientist will work with biologics customers to translate their scientific vision into robust modelling and data analysis workflows, troubleshoot customers’ scientific workflows, and engage in cutting-edge methodological scientific research.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing scientific support to current and prospective customers.
  • Demonstrating optimal use of life science software suites.
  • Facilitating interactions between customers and product development teams.
  • Troubleshooting customers’ scientific workflows.
  • Engaging in cutting-edge methodological scientific research.
  • Publishing scientific papers and presenting at conferences.

Requirements:

  • PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of at least two biologics modalities.
  • Demonstrable Python programming experience.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
