The program aims to develop the next generation of Point72 discretionary investment professionals. Successful graduates will have the opportunity to be placed on a long/short equity investing team.
As an analyst at Point72, one will benefit from a mentorship culture and ongoing professional development resources. The role involves applying intellectual curiosity and analytical rigor to develop sophisticated company analysis and modeling skills. The training includes statistics, accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, and coding. A portion of the training will take place in the New York City office. Participants will rotate with two investing teams to gain firsthand experience and mentorship.
Upon completion of the Academy, graduates can interview for an equity research analyst role. This involves developing a deep understanding of companies through fundamental research and financial analysis. Analysts will develop financial models, attend industry events, interact with sell-side analysts, and analyze compliant data sets. The role offers continuous skill development through coaching and professional development resources.
