Engineering Manager, Quality Engineering

Job Description

Apollo.io is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to drive quality and automation initiatives within their high-growth company. The role involves designing and tracking quality metrics, managing critical issues, and liaising with remote teams and senior leaders. The Quality Engineering Manager will guide a high-performing QA team and ensure the quality and reliability of Apollo.io's products.Responsibilities:

• Own, develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies.
• Manage testing activities and resources.
• Partner with engineering squads to address defects.
• Create and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality engineering.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to automate functional and non-functional features.
• Improve the quality of production systems and drive the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience with 8 years in Quality Engineering and 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience managing high volume or high risk/complex Quality Engineering projects.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to drive testing strategy for SaaS companies.
• Excellent understanding of automation testing and frameworks (Cypress/Playwright).
• Working knowledge of development languages (Ruby, Typescript, Javascript).
• Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related qualifications.
• Solid experience in Agile testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Linux Containers, Virtualisation (Docker), and Kubernetes.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development processes.
