Engineering Manager (Quality) at Apollo.io

Apollo.io is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to join their team. The company is a leading go-to-market solution provider, trusted by numerous companies globally.The Engineering Manager will focus on driving quality and automation initiatives. They will design and track quality metrics to improve product quality, stability, functionality, and performance. This role requires hands-on experience in managing critical issues, assessing problems, and providing solutions, while maintaining a calm demeanor. The manager will serve as a point of contact for Quality Engineering at Apollo.io and will guide a high-performing QA team.Responsibilities:

• Managing testing activities by assigning resources and supervising the execution of test activities.
• Partnering with engineering squads to address the defects and guarantee the delivery of top-notch products.
• Creating/Updating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality engineering and present them to relevant parties.
• Collaborating with the Engineering team to automate required functional/non-functional/infrastructure features.
• Continuously improving the quality of production systems and participating in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience with 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Excellent communication skills and strong organisational skills.
• Proven ability to drive testing strategy for SaaS companies.
• Excellent understanding of automation testing and frameworks (such as Cypress/Playwright).
• Working knowledge of development languages (Ruby, Typescript, Javascript).
• Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related qualifications.
• Solid experience in Agile testing methodologies and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment technologies.
• Familiarity with Linux Containers, Virtualisation (Docker), and Kubernetes.
