Job Description
Gotion Inc., a leading battery manufacturer, is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join their team in Manteno, Illinois. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful installation, optimization, and maintenance of advanced manufacturing equipment for battery production. The Equipment Engineer will collaborate with vendors, production teams, and technical experts to drive efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement in Gotion's high-tech production lines.
Role involves:
- Leading the installation, commissioning, and validation of equipment.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Conducting root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Driving automation enhancements and technical upgrades.
- Providing technical support and training to the production and maintenance teams.
- Liaising with equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing with automated production equipment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, sensors, and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
