AirTrunk is seeking a Systems Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining IT infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and operation of complex systems, enhancing efficiency and productivity. The role also involves playing a vital role in cybersecurity, responding to audit requests, and ensuring compliance with AirTrunk and industrial security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Systems Engineer with design, configuration, administration, maintenance, documentation, and operation of the Microsoft 365 and Azure environment.
  • Report and respond to L3 operational incident escalations and service requests.
  • Participate in all phases of related projects, including planning, design, implementation, test, and documentation.
  • Conduct proactive monitoring of relevant systems.
  • Provide advice to the IT team and business.
  • Troubleshoot reported issues and provide short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Update SOP documentation and provide training for L2 Engineers.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with experience or knowledge gained through education, training and / or experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a System Engineer across the Microsoft cloud stack.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and hands on experience with Microsoft cloud services such as Entra, Azure, M365, Intune MDM, Application Integration Management, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Good knowledge of network fundamentals, Windows severs, and management of end-user devices
  • Relevant industry certification(s) for Azure, Microsoft products and ITIL are preferred.
  • Eager to embrace and learn new technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
