Inizio is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join their team in Manchester, UK. This role offers a great opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in payroll within a supportive in-house team.

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance, and providing support to colleagues. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in the Manchester city centre office.

What this role involves:

  • Processing payroll for multiple departments accurately and on time.
  • Handling necessary paperwork and filings, including statutory reporting.
  • Supporting the team with new starters, leavers, and pay changes.
  • Answering questions from colleagues and external contacts.
  • Identifying and correcting payroll discrepancies.
  • Preparing reports for management and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Collaborating with finance to maintain accurate financial statements.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience processing payroll for multiple departments.
  • Solid understanding of UK tax legislation and compliance.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (OpenPeople is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
