DTP Designer at OLIVER+

OLIVER+ is seeking a skilled DTP Designer/Layout Artist to join their team in South Africa. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and be capable of translating concepts into visually appealing content. The role involves supporting the creation and development of marketing materials for a law firm.

The DTP Designer will report to the Lead Designer and collaborate closely with the client services team to execute projects. They will also contribute to maintaining and updating the firm's brand guidelines. This role demands consistency, accuracy, and strong time management skills.

What Role Involves

• Undertaking artwork to the client's brief and exacting standards.
• Developing an effective working relationship with colleagues and clients while providing excellent customer service.
• Effectively managing workloads within agreed timescales.
• Completing timesheets.
• Proactively monitoring artwork quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Taking direction and feedback well, and act on them timeously.

Requirements

• Advanced typesetting and typography skills.
• Ability to work accurately and provide consistent artwork quality.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
• Ability to proof own work with a critical eye and, think up design solutions when needed.
• Experience in creation of a wide range of artwork collateral, such as print & digital adaptations, re-touching, image manipulation.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and time management skills.
• Confidence in taking and investigating briefs, raising concerns, and presenting work.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – principally InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• PPT knowledge.
• Relevant degree or diploma. 
• An excellent portfolio of varied artworking examples, specifically brochures, documents and iPDFs.
• Languages spoken (English).
