Job Description

Whatnot is seeking a Product Design Director to lead a team of designers focused on empowering sellers on its livestream shopping platform. This role involves guiding the team, elevating their design skills, driving design strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Product Design Director will contribute to critical projects, define a vision for commerce on the platform, and work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers.

What the role involves:

• Guiding and growing a team of designers.
• Contributing to critical projects.

• Building and refining seller tools.
• Innovating on sales formats.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years leading teams.
• A player-coach mindset.
• Strong portfolio showcasing interaction and visual design skills.
• Experience designing complex systems.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
• A collaborative approach.
• A strategic mindset.
• Passion for designing functional and delightful products.
