Appier is seeking a Business English Teacher to deliver impactful Business English lessons to enhance participant’s business communication skills. The teacher will work with professionals across various levels, tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs and ensuring they achieve business communication proficiency.
The Business English Teacher will report to the Director of Learning & Development.
Responsibilities of the role includes:
- Delivering Business English lessons with a focus on speaking, listening, and writing in a professional context.
- Conducting one-on-one sessions and small group classes, both in-person and virtually.
- Creating English training materials to align with organizational priorities.
- Assessing employees' current English proficiency and design customized lesson plans.
- Providing regular feedback and progress reports to students and the Director of Learning & Development.
- Fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages improvement in communication skills.
- Engaging with learners from individual contributors to high-level leaders.
- Collaborating with HR and management to ensure training aligns with corporate goals.
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3-5 years of experience (with 2 years in Taiwan) teaching Business English or corporate language training roles.
- Experience working with business professionals, including senior level leadership.
- Strong understanding of business communication dynamics, with an emphasis on speaking, listening, and business writing.
- Ability to tailor lessons for different industries and business functions.
- Native-level English proficiency or equivalent.
- TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related fields (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and communicate effectively with learners.
