Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering

Job Description

Appier is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Taipei. The SRE will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, uptime, and performance of Appier's services. This role involves managing challenges of scale, optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and automating tasks.Responsibilities include:

• Improving the service lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Supporting services through system design consulting and capacity planning.
• Maintaining services by measuring availability and system health.
• Scaling systems through automation.
• Practicing incident response and postmortems.
• Participating in on-call rotation.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• 1+ years of experience in designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience in planning and deploying services on production.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in cloud solutions in virtualized environments.
• Experience in deployment and orchestration technologies.
• Experience in automation and continuous integration systems.
• Experience in operating big data systems.
• Experience in operating and deploying online web services.
• Experience in operating services on IaaS such as AWS and GCP.
• Experience in Database management (e.g.Database System Setup, Backup & Restore, System Tuning), MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, and PostgreSQL will be plus.
