Contentful is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team in Dublin. The role involves driving the future of content management and delivery through Contentful's suite of APIs. The engineer will work on projects that directly impact the company’s strategic goals and deliver a best-in-class experience for customers.

As part of a cross-functional team, the engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to enhance content management. The engineer will continuously enhance REST and GraphQL API experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering robust distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Working with product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Innovating and improving content management
  • Enhancing REST and GraphQL API experiences.

Requirements include:

  • Experience delivering robust distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong knowledge and commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and excellent English communication skills.
  • Familiarity with automated deployment processes (CI/CD) and version control (Git).
