Senior Fullstack Engineer - AI Applications (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join its AI Application team in Berlin. This role involves architecting, developing, and optimizing AI-powered experiences to enhance content management capabilities for Contentful's customers. The Senior Fullstack Engineer will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI-driven features.

Role involves:

• Architecting and implementing end-to-end AI-powered features.
• Designing and maintaining scalable frontend and backend components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Integrating AI models, APIs, and automation services.
• Designing and building robust backend services.
• Providing mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Driving best practices in software design, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Exploring and evaluating emerging AI technologies.

Requirements:

• Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience in scalable web applications and enterprise software architecture.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML APIs, models, or services.
• Strong track record of designing and implementing robust APIs (REST and GraphQL).
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to optimize performance for AI-driven workflows.
• Strong mentorship and collaboration skills.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, iterative environment.
