Senior Full Stack Engineer - Content API Team (f/m/d)

Contentful is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Content API Team. This role is based in Berlin, Germany, and offers the opportunity to contribute to the future of content management and delivery.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will work within a cross-functional team, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to enhance the customer experience. The engineer will focus on projects that align with Contentful's strategic objectives, specifically improving content management and delivery at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a cross-functional team.
• Innovate and improve content management for customers.
• Enhance REST and GraphQL API experiences.
• Participate in leveraging AI to enhance user experience.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and backend systems using Node.js.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.), and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficient in Git and understanding of workflows such as GitFlow.
• Experience in building and maintaining robust, flexible APIs with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Deep understanding of event-driven programming and handling asynchronous processes in Node.js.
