Senior Full Stack Engineer - Content API Team (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Content API Team. This role is based in London, England, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the future of content management and delivery through Contentful's suite of APIs.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a cross-functional team. They will innovate and improve content management for customers by working on initiatives that connect and deliver content at scale. The role involves developing on Contentful's Platform with modern services like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and contributing to the journey of leveraging AI to enhance user experience.

• Working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a cross-functional team.

• Enhancing REST and GraphQL API experiences.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and backend systems using Node.js.
• Practical knowledge of building, maintaining, and optimizing GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.), and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficient in Git and understanding of workflows such as GitFlow.
• Experience in building and maintaining robust, flexible APIs with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Deep understanding of event-driven programming and handling asynchronous processes in Node.js.
