Job Description
Resident is seeking a Front-End Infra Team Lead to enhance the performance and scalability of its e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will spend 70% of their time on hands-on tasks and 30% on managerial responsibilities. This role is crucial for maintaining a high-performing, user-friendly web experience while ensuring stability through proactive monitoring and data-driven decision-making.Resident's R&D department is responsible for the backbone of the entire development process and infrastructure. They design, implement, and maintain the processes, methodologies, and technologies that allow and support the development of Resident’s platform while upholding high standards of quality, performance, security, availability, and agility.
What this role involves: - Leading the development and optimization of frontend applications using React and Next.js.
- Improving Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) to enhance SEO and user experience.
- Monitoring and analyzing real-time performance metrics using Looker and Datadog.
- Acting as a gatekeeper for releases, ensuring smooth and controlled deployments.
- Implementing and refining monitoring dashboards using Looker and Datadog to track frontend performance and business KPIs.
Requirements: - 5+ years of hands-on experience with React/Next.js.
- 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Expertise in Frontend Development with a strong focus on performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals and techniques to improve page speed and UX.
- Experience with API integrations, server-side rendering (SSR), and static site generation (SSG).
- Strong experience in monitoring tools like Looker and Datadog.
