Schrödinger is seeking an Applications Scientist to contribute to the advancement of human health through computational methods. This role involves guiding customers in using molecular modeling suites, providing scientific support, and addressing challenges in drug discovery. Schrödinger is at the forefront of computer-aided drug and materials design.
The Applications Scientist will work with biologics customers, translate scientific visions into modeling workflows, troubleshoot scientific workflows, and engage in scientific research. They will also publish papers and present at conferences.
What this role involves: - Providing scientific support to customers.
- Demonstrating optimal use of life science software suites.
- Facilitating interactions between customers and product development teams.
- Translating scientific vision into robust modeling and data analysis workflows.
- Troubleshooting customers’ scientific workflows.
- Engaging in methodological scientific research.
- Publishing scientific papers and presenting at conferences.
Requirements: - PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, biophysics, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of design and development of at least two biologics modalities.
- Demonstrable Python programming experience.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Willingness to travel.
