Verkada is seeking an EMEA Senior Counsel to join their new London office. This role involves proactively managing legal risks related to commercial, privacy, and product matters within a fast-paced sales environment. The Senior Counsel will be a founding member of the EMEA legal team, collaborating with the US-based legal team.

The role requires a hands-on approach, providing legal support to various business functions, understanding B2B deals in a channel sales model, and addressing privacy and data protection issues in commercial transactions.

What the role involves:

  • Advising leadership and sales teams on product, privacy, and contract matters.
  • Negotiating and drafting B2B commercial agreements across the EMEA region.
  • Managing inbound and outbound contract negotiations.
  • Providing legal support to the marketing team.
  • Collaborating with US-based legal team members.
  • Instructing external counsel and managing legal costs.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of Verkada products.
  • Building relationships with people and leaders across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 6+ years PQE.
  • Strong experience negotiating and drafting B2B software and hardware contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA.
  • Familiarity with CLM platforms and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent legal and business judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (French and/or German is a plus).
