Assistant Buyer - Menswear - 12 Month Max Term Contract at THE ICONIC

THE ICONIC is seeking an Assistant Category Buyer for Menswear to join their commercial team on a 12-month contract. The Assistant Buyer will support the Category Buyer in driving sales growth, maximizing profit, and managing inventory for their category. They will also assist in the procurement of goods, negotiate favorable contract terms with vendors, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.Role involves:

• Assisting in purchasing and procurement.
• Monitoring inventory levels.
• Evaluating vendor performance.
• Negotiating contract terms.
• Identifying supply chain challenges.
• Resolving order and invoice discrepancies.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements for the customer onsite experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Buyer.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to time-manage and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in Jira, Excel, BI, BC and API integrations.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
