Job Description
Bridgewater Associates is seeking a Counterparty Onboarding Specialist to play a crucial role in enabling new funds, mandates, markets, and instruments. The Counterparty Onboarding Specialist will be directly involved in key investment initiatives, orchestrating the end-to-end counterparty onboarding process and collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Managers, Traders, Attorneys, Credit officers, Operations, and Tax professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Enabling the launch of new funds and mandates, markets, and instruments by executing the process of establishing credit lines and accounts with counterparties in close coordination with key stakeholders across the firm.
- Supporting ongoing reporting and account maintenance as required with counterparties (e.g. AUM, tax forms, AML/KYC, etc.)
- Capturing, maintaining, and reporting accurate critical counterparty reference data to key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Portfolio managers, attorneys, regulators, etc.)
Requirements:
- Direct experience onboarding and/or maintaining accounts and credit lines at top-tier firms (e.g. investment manager/hedge fund, broker-dealer, prime brokers/FCMs, custodian bank, etc.).
- Able to work effectively with varied stakeholders (e.g. Front Office, Legal, Credit, Operations, etc.) and comfortable working against deadlines (e.g. launching a new fund on a particular date).
- Organized, reliable, and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills and a team player.
- Able to perceive, trouble-shoot and escalate problems both within the day-to-day deliverables as well as in the overall processes.
- Candidate should enjoy a mix of day-to-day/regular responsibilities along with participation in broader initiatives and process improvement projects.
