Credit Analyst

Job Description

A New York based company is seeking a Credit Analyst to report to a Portfolio Manager. The Credit Analyst will focus on fundamental bottom-up research to generate commercial trade ideas across the liquid High Yield and Leveraged Loan universe, with a primary focus on Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT).

The role involves:

• Conducting rigorous, fundamental bottom-up credit research.
• Analyzing businesses and capital structures.
• Synthesizing market information and developing thematic trade ideas.
• Developing differentiated investment views.
• Monitoring existing positions.
• Engaging and maintaining external relationships.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in credit research.
• Outstanding skills in conducting fundamental credit research.
• High degree of familiarity with different credit securities.
• Comfort dealing with uncertainty and ability to express conviction.
• Desire to take risk and accountability of their decisions.
• Self-motivated, team orientated, and highly collaborative.
